Abstract
This project requests high-performance GPU compute resources to test the setting up of 5 available ab-initio GPU-accelerated gene finders (Helixer, Tiberius, OrionGeno, Vipsania, and Balrog). We will test these tools to develop guidelines for colleagues and users.
These tools have tremendous gains in speed over traditional CPU-based gene finders, so testing and developing recommendations for users will be important.
