We are conducting research methodology for benchmarking garbage collectors. Our empirical evaluation is through implementation in OpenJDK to test on real-world workloads and proven benchmarks. Benchmarking is very sensitive to natural fluctuations in a system which requires multiple runs to get statistically significant results.
