Abstract

The present study aims to assess the genetic status of selected adder (Vipera berus L.) populations at the northernmost extent of the species’ range. Genetic variation will be evaluated both within and among the sampled populations and compared with findings from previous investigations conducted in other regions. The results are expected to inform conservation strategies and contribute to the establishment of a robust genomic reference framework for northern populations, thereby providing a valuable resource for future ecological and evolutionary research.
