Abstract

The project investigates hard sail aerodynamics using computational fluid dynamics with focus on load prediction, flow separation, and near stall behavior. Numerical results will be compared with available wind tunnel data to assess model fidelity across relevant operating conditions. The goal is to establish a reliable CFD methodology for hard sail analysis and to clarify the limitations of lower order models.
