Risk evaluation of antibiotic resistance in biofertilisers using metagenomic analysis. Metagenomic analysis will be conducted on digestate samples from ten farm-scale biogas plants in Sweden. Specifically, genomic DNA will be extracted according to our published protocol. We will use the latest sequencing technology, Oxford Nanopore MinION, with the most recent flow cell and kit. The recovered genomes will be annotated for antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) and mobile genetic elements. We will then determine the transferability of the ARGs.
