Abstract

NAISS is to decommission dCache but for now there is no solution yet. We have been asked by NAISS personel to temporarily (for a number of months) renew this space until that storage solution exist. This is a continuation of a proposal where we performed instance segmentation on 3D scan data which are tiff images from rat intestine track. The project will extend slightly to include more rat intestine data to be analysed using machine learning algorithms. The project will therefore continue with segmentation of glomeruli in rat data, segmenting nerve cells in tomography images but also segmenting microfossils in a joint project with biology. Once the images are segmented then estimate important morphological quantities such as volume and other shape characteristics. We already have setup the relevant machine learning algorithms and environment at Alvis and Cosmos but require extra storage in swestore for the processed data on that project.
