Genomic sequence reads from whole genome resequencing data need to be assembled to a Oxyria digyna reference genome. These genomic sequences are from 120 individuals of an arctic-alpine herb (O. digyna) sampled from 12 sites occurring along a latitudinal gradient in western Eurasia. The purpose of this project is to use the genomic data to identify population structure, genotype-environment associations, and local adaptation within and across sites/populations. Raw reads produced from Illumina sequencing need to be processed in order to produce the longer contiguous sequences that can be be compared between individuals and populations to investigate their genetic diversity, differentiation, and similarity.
