Abstract

Littorina saxatilis is an intertidal snail species that rapidly differentiates to different ecotypes and therefore is widely used as a model system for speciation research. In addition to ecologically relevant traits, sperm length has repeatedly and similarly diverged between ecotypes in Sweden. The goal of this project is to understand the changes in gene expression that result in the length differences between ecotypes.
