Abstract

We aim to develop a mixed-integer linear programming optimization problem to minimize Levelized Costs of Hydrogen through optimizing the operating schedule of electrolyzers in multi-technology setups (i.e. installing both Proton Exchange Membrane and Alkaline Electrolysis Systems to satisfy a target H2 production demand and maximizing the advantages of the technical advantages of both technologies). We look at stack degradation from a materials point of view and investigate degradation phenomena.
