We work on mechanisms that lead to Neurodegeneration in AD pathology. We have different mouse models of the disease and we are now starting to perform single-nuclei RNA seq and bulk RNAseq for different projects. The goal is to understand where non-genetic and genetic risk factors converge to trigger the disease, and how different cell-types contribute to it. We are specially focused, cholesterol metabolites, sex differences and selective neuronal vulnerability in the disease.
