The project deals with genomes and transcriptomic analysis of prokaryotic cells with emphasis on Enterobacterales and/or metagenomes. Bacterial isolates and metagenomes will be sequenced by short read (Illumina) and Long-read (PacBio or Oxford Nanopore). No ethical permission is necessary since the isolates are collected from the environment. If patient isolates are collected in the future, ethical permissions will be obtained.
Sequencing data will undergo QC control, assembly, annotation and additional downstream analyses, i.e using BactPipe. Metagenomes will be handled using the STaG pipeline or similar.
All assembled data will be transferred to open sources i.e GenBank or similar. Primary data will also be stored on a local university server in addition to NAISS storage.
