This project aims to identify promising next-generation probiotic strains through comparative genomics. We will sequence and assemble high-quality genomes from isolated bacterial strains using long- and short-read sequencing technologies. Functional annotation will be performed to characterize genes involved in key probiotic traits, such as adhesion, metabolite production, and immunomodulatory potential. Comparative genomic analyses will then highlight unique or shared features among strains, revealing candidates for probiotic development.
