This project aims to study various aspects of the evolution of different avian radiations, such as divergence of phenotypic traits and speciation, as well as systematics. The main focus is on analyses of whole-genome sequences of wagtails and pipits (Motacillidae), larks (Alaudidae), leaf warblers (Phylloscopidae), but also, e.g., crossbills (Loxia), tits (Paridae) and snipes (Gallinago).
