Abstract

Machine learning will be explored to solve various energy related problems ranging from but not limited to fuel identification for flex-fuel internal combustion engines through control of solar panels in mountainous locations to prediction of thermal runaway events for electric vehicle battery packs. The investigations will be conducted in many different frameworks such as course projects, master thesis projects and PhD projects.
