Inspired by the clinical heterogeneity of schizophrenia (SCZ), as well as the consistent symptomatic and genetic overlap between SCZ and other psychiatric disorders, we aimed to comprehensively investigate their shared genetic mechanisms. This project will be divided into the following three directions: (1) to quantify the polygenic overlap between SCZ and other psychiatric disorders (i.e., anorexia nervosa [AN]); (2) to utilize the genetic risk of SCZ to the dissect mental outcomes in the general population or patients of other psychiatric disorders; (3) to utilize the genetic liability to other psychiatric disorders to dissect the clinical outcomes of SCZ.
