Abstract
The expansion of Bantu-speaking peoples across Africa has been one of the most significant demographic events in human history, shaping the genetic landscape of the continent. This project aims to identify genomic regions under selection during their expansive migration. Utilizing high-throughput sequencing data from both contemporary African populations and ancient DNA samples, we will perform comprehensive selection scans to pinpoint specific loci that exhibit signs of positive selection.
