Abstract

Tissue regeneration requires coordinated action of stem and progenitor cells. Here, we hope to understand how regionalisation of the esophageal tube impacts local mechanisms of regeneration. We will use 5-FU to ablate dividing esophageal progenitor cells and monitor the regenerative capacity in the proximal and distal oesophagus using single-cell sequencing. This storage project would be linked to the ongoing compute project NAISS 2024/22-192.
