Abstract

We have four yeast genomes we want analyzed and annotated and we are interested in a species comparison based on their genomes. The four yeast species are from the Blastobotrys genus, one species with a assembled genome using PacBio sequencing (UGC_ID PS_336) and the all four are Illumina sequenced available from NCBI. The species are: Blastobotrys mokoenaii Y-27120, Blastobotrys illinoisensis YB-1343 (PacBio sequenced) and Blastobotrys malaysiensis Y-6417, Blastobotrys adeninivorans NRRL Y-17692. The yeasts are relevant within biomass degradation and conversion, in particular the hemicellulose xylan, as they are equipped a large machinery of carbohydrate active enzymes (CAZymes) that we are investigating.
