Abstract

During Parkinson disease the striatal projection neurons in the striatum degenerate. These changes in morphology lead to changes in connectivity, and network behaviour. Using detailed electrophysiological models with reconstructed morphologies we investigate the propagation of the disease in the computer model. This is collaborative work with CST EECS KTH, KTH Math department and Neuroscience department at KI, and is also part of the new dBrains initiative.
