Abstract
This is a project carried out by a guest student for 6 months. The project deals with better understanding of disabilities mediated by the drugs known as fluoroquinoles, which is likely related to their binding to multicharged cations in the body. Quantum chemical calculations will be carried out to characterise these interactions and examine which ions bind better than others to fluoroquinolones.
