Abstract
We have recently sequenced at high coverage 240 genomes of Austronesian-speaking populations. The project covers various under-represented groups from Taiwan, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Papua New Guinea, and Pacific Islanders.
The project aims to define the origins, demographic history, genetic variation, signs of selection among Austronesian-speaking populations. In addition we aim to quantify archaic introgression and assess functional implications of interbreeding in humans.
