Our aim is to follow the changes in the root, rhizome and leaf microbiomes of Zostera marina over the seasons. In collaboration with Marlene Jahnke from Göteborg University, we have obtained Zostera marina samples from five harvesting time points. We will amplify ITS2 (primers ITS9F and ITS4) and 16S sequences (primers 341F and 805R), perform sequencing on a NextSeq platform (SciLifeLab) and analyse the data using the community resource project called nf-core.
