This project aims to study various aspects of the evolution of different avian radiations, such as divergence of phenotypic traits and speciation. My present compute project has been dominated by analyses of whole-genome sequences from several hundred individuals of wagtails and pipits (Motacillidae) and larks (Alaudidae). These analyses will continue, but will also be much expanded by analyses of whole genomes from leaf warblers (Phylloscopidae), crossbills (Loxia), tits (Paridae), snipes (Gallinago).
