Abstract

In this project extensive numerical simulations will be carried out to investigate 1) residual (capillary) trapping in geological storage of CO2 and 2) flow and solute transport as well as related coupled processes in fractured rocks. In the former, extensive pore-network models are a key modeling approach while in the latter, fracture networks with thousands of fractures are investigated.
