My PhD project will focus on population genomic assessments of a seagrass in the Baltic Sea to provide a baseline for future temporal conservation genetic monitoring of eelgrass in Sweden. Within this project I would like to analyse 2bRAD data to identify single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) from several projects working with the organism eelgrass. The different projects have different questions, but all relate to marine biology and have importance for conservation or for fundamental evolutionary questions. Apart from genotyping, the analyses I will perform mostly relate to genetic structure and gene flow, and I will perform demographic modelling. The data will mainly be generated and analysed within the framework of my PhD project. The total duration of my PhD will be about 4 years.
