This project will investigate the population size and structure of mushroomforming fungi. Fungi are a cryptic group that mainly live inside the substrate they feed from, it is therefore difficult to count, map, and follow individuals. Using molecular based methods that can give estimates about the populations are thus very valuable, and genomic method gives a lot of information. In this project we will investigate the populations of fungi for which there are conservation concerns.
