Abstract

The storage is intended to support projects related to ship hydrodynamics at Chalmers, M2/MT. This relates to research on vessel design, ship motions, and hull-propeller interaction, performed within our PhD and post-doc projects. The studies for the upcoming work are primarily related to two post-doc projects looking at * hydrodynamic problems for wind-assisted merchant vessels, and * CFD based optimisation for the propulsion system of hydrogen powered vessel utilising a biomimetic propeller and duct design. During the spring, the project will also be used in the final stages of a PhD project related to propulsory-hull-interaction in waves.
