Abstract

He we request for extra storage for proposal NAISS 2023/22-1368, much like was done for proposal SNIC 2022/22-1212. The previously allocated storage of 3 TB is currently being used to 60%, i.e. the current allocation does not need to be increased. The current files will be used to verify previous results and, thus, confirm the reproducibility on the Alvis system. Moreover, we will attempt to retrain and refine the previous models with the data at hand. Once available, real data from LOFAR and Apertif will be transferred to the storage and our models will be used to search those data for HI-sources, thus probing the code on actual SKA-precursor data. The next step will be to further develop the ML-code for applicability to rotation measure cubes. To that end, synthetic and real data will be transferred to the storage for model training and testing. Eventually, the training and test data expected for SKA Data Challenge (SDC) 4 will be transferred to the storage. In case the current allocation of 3 TB becomes too little we will delete the data from SDC2.
