Abstract

Cancer stem cells (CSC) are a major cause of drug-resistant in several types of cancer. Moreover, hypoxia have been suggested to maintain CSC properties, as well as to affect drug resistance against cancer therapies. In this project, we aim at comparing the transcription profile of hypoxia affected human cancer cell lines vs regularly cultured cancer cell lines. With replicates, the project contains 24 samples of RNAseq. All samples will be compared across. Moreover, we will determine the DNAseq of CRIPSR/Cas9 targeted mutations of a gene related to hypoxia in human cancer cell lines compared to the non-targeted cancer cell lines. With replicates, this part of the project contains 4 samples in total, and will be compared in pairs. The human cancer cell lines used in this project are commercially available cell lines.
