Abstract

In this project, we will combine the following topics: (1) sequencing following single cell pikcing, and (2) sequencing following FACS sorting into 384-well plates. (1) The picked cells belong to a project focussing on the inhibitory efferents of the lateral line. Previously, we identified 3 unique morphologies among these efferent cells and we now wish to explore differences in gene expression profiles. Following morphological identification, we collect the cell and process it for single cell sequencing. In the second (2) part of the project, we will dissociate whole spinal cords of newly generated transgenic zebrafish lines. Here, the main goal is to identify the existence of subpopulations within our new cell populations. In addition, this information can be used as background (or road map) in future studies, where we use an approach similar to the one detailed in the first section of this project.
