This project took microbiome samples longituginally before and after head and neck cancer treatment (n= around 50 depends on sample types). The microbiome samples including swabs from healthy and tumor side of the oral cavity, saliva samples, as well as the fecal samples. All the samples had been carried out metagenomic with shotgun sequencing. The data could be grouped as before vs. after treatment, and according to HPV infection status. In addition, saliva samples from healthy individuals for dental examination were collected and tested for 16S sequencing, which could be used for potential control samples. The metagenomic analysis including alpha, beta diversity, functional analysis, potential virus genome analysis are needed to be analysed from raw sequencing data. Data before and after treatment, different body sites will be compared.
