The aim of this project is to identify an optimal solution that balances the dual objectives of enhancing forest wood production and preserving various aspects of biodiversity. To achieve this, I will employ projection and optimization techniques using existing models related to biodiversity and ecosystem services. These analyses will consider multiple management scenarios for the future of Sweden's forests. I am conducting this research as a postdoctoral researcher affiliated with the Swedish Species Information Center, SLU Artdatabanken Terrestra ekosystem. The project is scheduled to span a duration of two years.
