Abstract

The overreaching goal goal is to apply a developed dose calculation model at the individual level to study the relationship between the radiation dose to the Swedish population and the cancer incidence of various forms of cancer, the so-called the dose-response relationship. Absorbed radiation dose to different body organs (mGy) will be calculated to be able to study this dose-response relationship and to enable a comparison between the actual number of cancer cases with the calculated lifetime Life Time Attributable Risk (LAR). A sub-study will specifically analyze the relationship between the indoor radon level and the presence of uranium in the bedrock at that dwelling.
