The project involves simulating transmutation of nuclear material in a reactor core and emission of gamma and neutron radiation from the resulting irradiated material. The proprietary (with necessary licenses) software (Serpent2 and SOURCES-4c primarily) will be used to simulate nuclear energy systems and create databases applicable to nuclear safeguards research.
