This project investigates the emergence of information disorders such as, for example, disinformation and misinformation campaigns or the circulation of radical right media content in Nordic social media (Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Norway). Namely, we study how such problematic content is spread in social media and how it affects users' communication and information consumption patterns, as well as attitudes towards socially important issues and problems. In the project, we will use large-scale data from the most popular social media platforms, primarily in the forms of texts and images, but also social network data. Such data is further analysed with the help of computational methods, such as natural language processing, including using large language models, network analysis and image analysis.
