Abstract

In situ sequencing is a method to investigate the spatial location of mRNA in tissue. We are using this information to reveal the location of specific types of cells in the brain mainly. By coupling this to single-cell RNA sequencing methods we can also determine how transcriptional programs or "gene regulatory networks" are changed during disease. We are investigating how the cellular composition and their molecular characteristics changes in disorders such as schizophrenia and other complex disorders.
