Abstract

We analyze glioblastoma tissues and cells of patients to understand the driver mechanisms of the relapse-causing tumor cells of the outer tumor edge, which are the cells that remain in the patient after surgery and give rise to the lethal relapse. We have exome sequenced a number of different samples from each patient. These include tissue samples from the tumor core and edge, cell cultures established from the tissue samples, blood and if available also relapse samples. We have also single cell sequenced samples from matched cell cultures established from the bulk tumor and edge of the same patient using the 10X Multiome sc RNA-seq and ATAC-seq. The purpose is to understand genetic drivers and mechanisms of tumor progression and recurrence of glioblastoma.
