Abstract

The overall aim is to investigate whether the use of exogenous hormones, either as contraception or as menopausal hormone therapy, may increase or decrease the risk of various health-related outcomes. The research question to investigate is: Whether contraceptive use and menopausal hormone therapy affect the risk of health-related outcomes, including cancer, inflammatory diseases, atopic diseases, osteoporosis, cardiovascular diseases and mental health-disorders.
