Abstract

The overall aim of this research project is to advance the current understanding of the landscape of molecular aberrations in early stage melanoma and its precursor lesions, in order to facilitate understanding of progression from the benign state to the malignant. We plan to perform whole exome sequencing on 50 lesions representing different stages of such progression, from benign through dysplastic to in situ lesions, and matched normal samples. RNA sequencing of the lesions will reveal transcriptional programs active within these. As this is patient material collected within a prospective collection, these are sensitive data and require BIANCA storage allocation.
