Abstract

The cellular complexity of ALS neurodegeneration is difficult to apprehend using traditional pathology and bulk RNA seq methods. In this project, we will analyse the 1cell RNA seq datasets for the human cortex in controls and ALS cases provided by the collaborative group the the MIT. We intend to use this resource for both storage and computational analysis. Although this data does not contain personal information data (eg. names and birthdays), we would like to apply for the "sens" project type. This resource will allow us to interpret cell to cell communication and identify cell trajectories and pathways affected by ALS neurodegeneration.
